Ashley Cole arrived in Spain on a private plane from Farnborough as his team mates arrived in Milan for their champions league match. I understand Cole is in the south of Spain so woemen should remain safe here in Calpe! He is undergoing treatment for a broken leg but Chelsea hope he will play again this season as I am sure do the army of England fans looking forward to this summers world cup in Africa.
It will be seen as ironic in many quarters that he is in Spain for recuperation as he has recently been linked with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid and with him being out of favour for tarnishing the clubs image the Chelsea valuation of him of £25 million will not be seen as a stumbling block with either of the two Spanish clubs.
Cole is reportedly unhappy as he feels he has been treated differently than his team captain John Terry and it's understood Chelseas owner Roman Abramovich has had enough of the shennanigans of his superstars and would be happy to let Cole go. Madrid are known to be looking for a left back and Cole could earn £150, 000 a week at Real Madrid.
In a further twist it's thought Cole bought his wife, Sheryl Cole, a villa on the Costa Del Sol a few years ago for her 25th birthday.

Property Investment in Spain
The press and the rest of the media, particularly in the UK, are very quick to paint the Spanish property market in a bad light, however members of the British public are still in love with the idea of owning an overseas property and Spain is by far the number 1 country for purchasing property.
Although the exchange rate is against the British buyer, the reduction in price of many villas and apartments far outweighs this. Also the massive price increases of recent times which lead to property speculators coming into the market and pushing prices up even further are now long gone, and this is better for people who are looking for a home or a long term enjoyable investment, i.e. people who want a holiday home in the sun as opposed to those that are in it for a quick profit and this creates a more stable market. This is why Spain will always be a good long term investment.

Buy-to-let yourway to a property in Spain?
Buy to let may be on the decline in the U.K but could it be the way to go to get a new home in Spain? I think it just might be!
A product of the recession here in Spain is a reduction in interest rates and therefore repaymenst on mortgages. The mortgage rate is around 2% way down on the earlier rate which was upto 6% this means the average mortgage is now around €500 a month cheaper and although this has slowed the number of repossesions there are still bargains to be had both repossesions and people who want to sell for all manor of reasons.
The banks are cautious to lend but subject to fullfilling the criteria mortgages are available and at good fixed rates to tie in the value of the low interest rates. So where do I find an ideal property I hear you ask? Well there is no doubt there are far fewer agents than there once was but each area will still have some and just the fact they have survived should indicate that they are a good business. There are also many agents who specialize in sourcing property and there are the banks themselves.
Spain is still a beautiful country to live in both for a lifestyle choice and for the weather which will always attract those from colder climes.
